Manage personal devices on the UIndy and UIndyIoT networks

UIndyIoT is a dedicated wireless network for smart devices that typically do not support web browsers or log in (authentication) capabilities. This network is NOT for smartphones, tablets, laptops or desktop computers.

To add your device to the UIndyIoT network, follow these steps:

Find you device's MAC address
Register a device
  1. Navigate to https://mydevices.uindy.edu. This is only available on campus.
  2. Enter your UIndy username.
  3. Enter in your UIndy password.
  4. Click the Log In button.

You will automatically be redirected to another page.

  1. Enter in the MAC address of the device you wish to register.
  2. Enter the Device Name.
  3. Optionally, you can enter notes about this device.
  4. Check the box next to I am the sponsor of this account and accept the terms of use.
  5. Click the Create button.

  1. You will see UIndy Device Registration Receipt once the device has been successfully created.

Connect to UIndyIoT
  1. Reconnect or plug in your device, if needed.
  2. Select the UIndyIoT network.
  3. Enter your UIndyIoT password (found in step 10 from above)

This password is NOT your UIndy account password. This is a unique Wi-Fi password for this device. See Find my UIndyIoT network password.
