Use Channels in the UIndy Mobile App

Channels are within the Community/chat area of the UIndy Mobile App.

If you have not updated the UIndy app recently, you may not see some channels or options. Update the app in the App Store for Apple iOS or Google Play Store for Android on your phone and then follow the instructions below.

Accept a channel invitation
  1. Open the UIndy Mobile app.
  2. Click on the Community icon (speech bubble).

  1. Click the Menu icon.

  1. Click on Invitations.

  1. Click the name of the Channel (Class of 2025 in the example below).

  1. Click Accept.

Remove yourself from a channel
  1. Open the UIndy Mobile app.
  2. Click on the Community icon (speech bubble).

  1. Click on the channel name from which you'd like to remove yourself.

  1. Click the Info button (small circle with the letter "i") .

  1. Click Leave Channel.

  1. Click Leave when asked to confirm.

You will no longer receive notifications for or see posts to this channel in your UIndy Mobile App. You may rejoin the channel at any time by following the Add yourself to a channel instructions above.
