Connect to the UIndy wired network
Devices must be registered in order to access the University wired or wireless network. These instructions explain how to connect to the wired network. See Manage personal devices on the UIndy network for more details.
You may want to look up the MAC address of the device prior to coming to this page.
- When on campus, connect your computer to the wired network with an Ethernet cable.
- On most devices, a browser window will automatically open. If it doesn't, navigate to https://mydevices.uindy.edu/.
- Read the Network & Systems Usage Policy presented on screen. If you agree to the terms, click the I accept the terms button.
- Enter your
UIndy username
andpassword
. - Click the Login button.
Your screen will indicate that your device is being registered on the network and show a progress bar.
Once your device is registered on the network, the window will disappear. If you are instead presented with an error message (e.g. "Unable to detect network connectivity."), please restart your web browser.
Please remove devices you no longer use from the UIndy network by following these steps.
- Navigate to https://mydevices.uindy.edu/status from any computer, phone, or other device registered on the UIndy network.
- Enter your
UIndy username
andpassword.
- Click the Login button.
- Click the Unregister button next to any device that you would like to unregister from the UIndy network. The device will disappear from the list.
- Click the Logout link when finished.
- Navigate to https://mydevices.uindy.edu/.
- Enter your
UIndy username
andpassword.
- Click the Login button.
- The devices registered to the UIndy network under your account will be listed.
- Click the Logout link when finished.
