The instructions below can be used for any “External Learning Tools” approved for use in Brightspace. Some vendors require additional set up after the tool is added to the site. Additional instructions for various vendors are listed below.
- In the Brightspace course you are working on, click on the Content navigation tool.
- Create a New Module by clicking Add a Module and enter
the name of the module.
- Click the Existing Activities button.
- Choose the desired tool from the list.
At this point your external tool is now included in the Content section of your course. Please complete any additional set up instructions provided by the vendor.

Choose the Course Materials (BNC Course Materials) link from the Insert and External Learning Tool list.
No additional set up is required.
After copying course content to a new section or term, sync is initiated with a click on the BNC Course Material link within a course associated to the upcoming term. In order to pull course and roster information for each new term, please be sure to click on the Course Material link in a course in the upcoming term to initiate the new term sync.

Connect your Basic Launch
- Select "Content Tool"
- Create a "Unit"
- Select the "External Tool Activity"
- Select "BoodleBox LTI 1.3 Basic Launch"
Courses must be synchronized via Edlink/BoodleBox prior to any attempt to connect.
If the Brightspace course is not synchronized OR the user is not an authenticated/active BoodleBox user, the user will see a 400 Error
Note: As of June 30, 2026, the tool can not be Deep Linked as the Edlink LTI 1.3 document suggests in Step 10

- Choose the Existing Activities drop down option (top center).
- Scroll down & choose Cengage (LTI 1.3) Content.
- A new window pops up will appear. Choose one of the three options:
- Add Homework Platform
- Add Cengage Infuse
- Add eBook
After choosing an option above, you may be prompted to login to Cengage.
We highly recommend your Cengage email address/account matches your UIndy Email address. This will efficiently synchronize content between the two systems
Once you’re logged into Cengage, choose your content to begin the integration process

EdPuzzle will be removed on June 13, 2027
Over the course of the next year, we will make H5P training available so that you can build your content out directly in Brightspace.
The primary benefit is that because H5P is deeply integrated into Brightspace, interactives, like the ones previously created in EdPuzzle, can be linked directly to the grades tool and students don't have to navigate to another system to complete activities.

- On the new window, choose Argos Education (LTI 1.3)
- You'll be transferred to Inspark's website where you'll choose the small Start box.
