Connect external resources to my Brightspace course

The instructions below can be used for any “External Learning Tools” approved for use in Brightspace. Some vendors require additional set up after the tool is added to the site.  Additional instructions for various vendors are listed below.

  1. In the Brightspace course you are working on, click on the Content navigation tool.
  1. Create a New Module by clicking Add a Module and enter the name of the module.
  1. Click the Existing Activities button.
  1. Choose the desired tool from the list.

At this point your external tool is now included in the Content section of your course.  Please complete any additional set up instructions provided by the vendor.

Barnes & Noble College

Choose the Course Materials (BNC Course Materials) link from the Insert and External Learning Tool list.

No additional set up is required.

After copying course content to a new section or term, sync is initiated with a click on the BNC Course Material link within a course associated to the upcoming term. In order to pull course and roster information for each new term, please be sure to click on the Course Material link in a course in the upcoming term to initiate the new term sync.
