Enroll in MFA with Duo
In our continued efforts to improve the University’s cyber security posture and to comply with federal regulations, UIndyIT is protecting our information systems with multi-factor authentication (MFA) with Duo on all UIndy systems that use the UIndy Login page.
Note: You are automatically enrolled in Duo when you Claim your UIndy Account. If you already have a UIndy account, but have not logged in for over 6 months, follow the steps listed on Duo Device Registration. If you have issues activating Duo Mobile please open an IT Help Desk ticket.
- Click the arrow next to Phone number.

- Enter
your mobile phone number
. - Click the Continue button.

- Verify your phone number is correct. Click the Yes, it's correct button.

- Your phone has been added using text message or phone call. Click the Continue button.

If you aren't recieving Duo text messages due to lack of cellular coverage in basements or some buildings like the Health Pavilion, you have two options:
- Use the Duo Mobile app to receive Duo Push, which works over WiFi and cellular data networks. No text messages are necessary!
- Update your phone's WiFi Calling settings to make sure SMS messages are using WiFi and not cellular.
