Use Duo

In our continued efforts to improve the University’s cyber security posture and to comply with federal regulations, UIndy IT is protecting our information systems with multi-factor authentication (MFA) with Duo on all UIndy systems that use the UIndy Login page.

Duo Push
For students in China with Android devices
If you would like to enroll your mobile phone by receiving text messages:
  1. Click the arrow next to Phone number.

  1. Enter your mobile phone number.
  2. Click the Continue button.

  1. Verify your phone number is correct. Click the Yes, it's correct button.

  1. Your phone has been added using text message or phone call. Click the Continue button.

Lack of cellular coverage

If you aren't recieving Duo text messages due to lack of cellular coverage in basements or some buildings like the Health Pavilion, you have two options:

  1. Use the Duo Mobile app to receive Duo Push, which works over WiFi and cellular data networks. No text messages are necessary!
  2. Update your phone's WiFi Calling settings to make sure SMS messages are using WiFi and not cellular.
