Remote access to licensed software

Virtual desktop environments for some software applications are available to UIndy account holders through Amazon Web Services. 

There is an Amazon WorkSpaces App for iOS, Android, and Chromebooks.

Graphics Enhanced - Adobe Creative Cloud, ANSYS, Arena
  1. Navigate to https://prplr.link/uindy-desktop-graphics01.
  2. At the UIndy login prompt, login with your UIndy credentials.
  3. Please be patient. The connection will typically take 1 to 2 minutes to provision. A screen will appear with your progress.

  1. Once connected you will have several layered prompts. If you wish to connect to Adobe Creative Cloud, you can login with your UIndy credentials immediately.  You can also minimize this prompt if it's not needed.

  1. The next prompt is to Mount Home Directory. This will allow you to access your UIndy Home Folder and to save files. Additionally, you may access Google Drive via a web browser. Click the OK button, or Cancel to proceed.

  1. When you are finished, click the Profile button in the upper right corner.
  2. Click End Session.

Standard - 3DSSPP, Capella, IBM SPSS, Microsoft Power BI, Oracle 11G Client/SQL Developer, R, R Studio, Tableau, Tableau Prep
  1. Navigate to https://prplr.link/uindy-desktop-standard.
  2. At the UIndy login prompt, login with your UIndy credentials.
  3. Please be patient. The connection will typically take 1 to 2 minutes to provision. A screen will appear with your progress.

  1. You will arrive at a virtual Windows environment. A Mount Home Directory prompt will appear. This will allow you to access your UIndy Home Folder and to save files. Additionally, you may access Google Drive via a web browser. Click the OK button, or Cancel to proceed.

  1. Click the Start menu to search or enter SPSS in the search field on the desktop.  Click on the program you wish to use.
